    Thuparamaya: The oldest stuba in Sri Lanka
    Have you ever wondered about the oldest Stupa in Sri Lanka?

    Thuparamaya was built during the reign of King Devamnampiyatissa, the first Stupa which was erected at 250BC-210BC in Mahinda hour which was an envoy sent by the Indian King Ashoka to Sri Lanka. Mahinda and Sangamitha, son and daughter of King Ashoka, brought Buddhism to Sri Lanka. Mahinda brought the greatness of the Buddha's collar to be devised in Stupa, which is still here.     History of gold and bricks
